I went to High School in the mid 1980's. Hated most of the music (especially Spandex Ballet and Cinderella type crap). I did, however, appreciate unique pop or rock artists that managed to squeak through the mundane Top 40 Casey Kasem countdown crap ( Read more... )

I just had to say I just re-purchased Purple Rain in order to counter-act this rampant, rabid buying of M.J.'s garbage.

I am really more of a KISS fan myself but love Purple rain. Had the record, CD....Loved the movie. Never really heard the Thriller album myself.

KISS is fun from time to time, but I can't listen to them on a regular basis. When it comes to that style of music I'm more into Metallica...but that's rare that I get into that frame of mind.
