Flee from the hills

There's not so much sunlight as there used to be last week, which means I'm getting less Vitamin D and I'm already feeling the lethargy that comes with it. I feel that I used up all my reserves last week but hopefully the supplements might do something.

MANGAI've almost finished reading Sailor Moon! It got a bit confusing because after Chapter 39 ( Read more... )

If you are enjoying the manga for Sailor Moon, then consider maybe trying Sailor Moon Crystal. Which actually follows the manga and is faaaaar less annoying the the first adaptation. The dub of which put even me off... lol

I have heard that SMC does follow the manga more (though I've heard criticism about the animation and so forth). I remember watching the original anime which spent 46 episodes fighting the Dark Kingdom whilst SMC was already on the second arc already :p
I don't know really, but it's there if I ever do wanna watch it.

Also, since making this post I've now finished the Sailor Moon manga and loved it.
...even though I had to go to Wikipedia immediately afterwards to actually work out what happened. Lol.

I really don't mind the animation in Crystal. I actually really like it but everyone has there own opinion. I also think some fans loved the first anime so much they were extra critical of Crystal in the first place... But that's just me. lol
I have the manga for Sailor Moon myself and love it^^ I refused to try it for ages because of the anime but then decided to try it and thank goodness I did. XD

Yeah... some parts were more than a little confusing. XD

Ooh, you've read the manga then?
So I read the part where Sailor Moon turns into Super Sailor Moon or something like that...and it's because she and Tuxedo Mask kiss. Which means her Silver Crystal combined with the Golden Crystal in his heart, and therefore gave her a power-up...but I don't understand why that didn't happen last time they kissed?
Or how Diana turned up? Or all the time travel paradoxes?
Very confuzzled.

I am so out of the loop and didn't realize you're watching so much toku! *thumbs up* I'm a week or two behind in Kamen Rider Ghost and Zyuohger again...

I'd definitely recommend Sailor Moon Crystal, though, it follows the manga almost exactly. They just wrapped up the Mugen Gakuen story arc (and I'm sure they'll go into the Dead Moon Circus one soon enough, since the new musical is coming out in October), so it's a good time to jump in, since I don't know for sure when the next season will begin.

Lol awesome. I'm watching two episodes of a previous season, whilst watching the current airing season, so that way I make slow but steady progress through the whole franchise. I hope I didn't spoil Zyuohger too much for you though!
How are you finding Ghost and Zyuohger so far?
I really enjoyed Ghost at first, and still do, but the style in the current episodes seems a bti different from how it started out. (Like, what happened to Captain Ghost in the first few episodes? The green iguana robot? It kinda...disappeared.)

On another note, I'm nearing the end of Maskman and the Blue Ranger, Akira, in the dubbed version his name was chosen to Adrian. I'm in Super Sentai. Literally. :D

I actually just caught up with Ghost and Zyuohger tonight, so I'm good till the new episodes air. Then it's s matter of waiting for subs, and having time to watch them.

I feel like Ghost is forgetting random things here and there (iguana was probably a victim of the CGI budget, I'll bet). Like they forget about Javert for a huge long time, then he shows up out of nowhere. I don't know if it's working around the schedules of the actors, but it's a little weird. I guess time will tell if the series will end well, I think there's probably about a dozen episodes left.

It doesn't so much bother me that the iguana disappeared after a few episodes, but that it keeps appearing in the OP and it just reminds you that it's gone, lol. Whereas they do constantly change the OP to fit in Takeru's new move, or Spectre's new form, but this iguana is still there.

I loved Javert as a villain early on, and then he "dies", and then he comes back again, and now he's good (kind of), and then he...leaves or something...and then they bring in Igor or this other villain (whom I haven't seen since!). Wasn't really a fan of villains not actually dying properly either, because then you don't know if they might suddenly come back or not. Sometimes I wonder if the only person who has permanently died is Alain's dad and the takoyaki woman!

I know it does fit into the theme of the world though, about using other bodies as hosts, but it just irks me a bit.
I did really love Necrom's redemption arc though.
