What's with all the women coming into power lately? They should all stick to raising kids and baking pies.

Seriously, though, I've heard a lot of different opinions on your new PM, and some of them are quite negative. But I prefer to be clueless in politics, so. :)

Frankly I think things tend to be a bit more sensible when ladies are in a position of power. I think part of the problem here is because the labour party is kind of notorious for being run by union bosses who sneak around and put someone in power they want. Understandably, people have a problem with this. Mind you, its the same deal with the other party (the liberals... who ironically are actually the conservatives) except it's not the unions, it's big business (particularlly mining companies). same shit, different name.

Its kind of sad that Julia being the boss is sullied by how she came to be there. Still, election's in October, so she's got some time to win people over.

I think she's okay. But mind you, I'm a left wing, ecconomically irresponsible faggot, what would I know? :P

A lot of people would deny that it's because she's a woman, but at the same time people don't realize the subtle and you could even call it subconscious prejudices they still have.
