It is a fair challenge that much of the work needed to build a community does not receive compensation and a number of people can just suck up resources and leave. I have found myself having to provide the same sorts of things but am in a different position and therefore am not as hurt by the demands.

It IS labor. I am not sure how we get people to see that.
