Hi, Adriana! I completely understand your absence; life really can get in the way when you're working to support yourself, managing a household, paying bills, dealing with aging parents, etc., etc. I'm still trying to find some time to get the rest of my Scotland travel posts done (the trip was in July). Ah, well, we just do the best we can.

That's sad news about your boss, and even worse that he was a friend instead of just your superior at the office. It's always a shock to lose someone suddenly, without any warning, and it's especially hard when it's suicide, as opposed to something like a traffic accident.

I don't expect to get a post done tomorrow, so let me just take a moment now to wish you a very happy New Year!

I still miss him a lot, in fact all of us miss him a lot. Such a brilliant young man and none of us notice how depressed he really was... we'll be missed forever.
