When one talks about the Kyoto Accord, I don't believe they should be allowed to state that there will be no economic problems. And use the excuse that there will be new businesses and companies to invest in. Not to mention on top of that saying that we should limit the amount of imported products because they have to travel along way to get to us and this transportation is bad for the environment.

Yes, this is a rant but--

I think people just tend to forget how reliant we are on oil and other 'not so sound' environmental, industries and how dependant we are on our importing, mainly to keep the cost at a reasonable level and the keep the international relations we have because of it. The same with exporting, we can't just cut off international trade, when it's more then just Canada who will suffer. It outrageous to think there will be no consequences, let's just hope that this will be worthy it in the end.
