How peculiar :) "Audley" is an English name, though, so it wouldn't surprise me if it filtered down in that typically colonial way :)

But this is very cool - quite possibly the coolest thing I have seen all century ;) Thank you for posting it :)

Yes, most certainly, everything here is still based on the old English traditions when South Africa used to be a British colony. Some traditions though are completely impractical. For one thing students here are expected to wear heavy dark coloured blazers and long black pants when attending school rugby matches, which are a requirement to attend in the winter on Saturday if your school is competing. The impracticality though is that even in the winter temperatures are usually still high twenties. (;
