Bit of trouble at Gingerbread today. One of the elderly residents had something like an attack of conscience and confessed to having testified falsely against Tristan Greengrass, imprisoned in Azkaban these last five years. Thorough examination by a staff mediwizard found nothing wrong with the witch, though apparently she's complained of ( Read more... )

Lucky time to be in Azkaban, seems like.

Why don't you run off and test that theorem then?

Don't need to, what with Baddock, Greengrass' brother, and Davis' father as examples, do I?

Potter occasionally sounds like the next coming of Mad Eye Moody, which is interesting as it's his best mate who's actually the Auror. If he wants to have his Minister friend pull some strings and keep Dodger imprisoned for a while longer, I'd not put up a protest.

Apparently he went through Auror training but didn't manage to finish that either.

When is Dodger's release again?

That's an odd date to release a prisoner. Will your Gran be extending holiday celebrations for his benefit?

That's very interesting news, Pucey. Do you know when the Wizengamot hearing will be?

At least there is no real hope of anyone changing their minds about testifying against my father. Seeing as I was the main witness in his trial, and whatnot. Still, slightly worrying that they might start letting any old person out and about.

The hearing is on Wednesday but Greengrass won't be there for it. I expect after five years in Azkaban he's in no condition to participate, though I wonder if it's not just that they don't want to have to look at him while they deliberate.

Well, it's 'better' for the prisoners since there are no Dementors, but I see your point.

I wonder how Daphne feels about all this?

Cautiously optimistic regarding the release of my brother.

As for how I feel about the old bag who perjured herself?

We'll leave that for another time.
