Yesterday I slept in and then made it into office after lunch to catch up on some documentation and other back-burner projects I haven't had time to poke at during the work week. I did pretty well on those and then got pulled into a urgent matter that I had to sheep hurd for the next several hours. I got home late, finished off season 2 of Veronica

For me I picked up a AOC display model at Best Buy, clearance plus open box.
Dell has good monitor technology but like most big OEMs they have different lines with different value propositions, so look up and down their range. AOC is a lower mid range brand I haven't heard of before but it seems all right. Best buy web site has some more like that and you might find some in store as well. Asus and AOC both hit the 150$ pricepoint I was looking at while still giving me some screen height (widescreen resolutions made these days are narrow and it's harder to get enough height to display everything as you ought to be able to on a 1280+ width display.
