I had the same problem as you with 17.7kHz. I could only hear it come on and turn off, but I kept going and could hear as though I were a dog. I don't know what that is about, but okay. I also feel like I have a ton of hearing damage, but maybe it is selective for certain pitches and frequencies not just the highest?

I can only hear up to 14.9Hz. I've got old man ears apparently. All you young bitches can make fun of me in super duper high pitches, and I'll never know the difference. Go ahead. Take advantage of poor bad hearing, non-smelling Ben. I'll go pain a tail to my bum now. Sigh.

Hmmm...I can hear most of them just fine, but a problem arises around the 17ish kHz range because that's apparently about the pitch of my intermittent tinnitus. So I can hear the sound turn on, but then it just sounds like my ears are ringing.

Besides, I don't know about you guys, but I can definitely still hear a mosquito flying around by my ear.
