On one hand, you have to think which is more practical. Do you only need them for reading books and stuff or do you need them all the time?
On the other, do need to wear sunglasses a lot? I wear glasses, and clip ons and fit-overs are just a plain pain in the ass. If it was viable I would be wearing contacts so I could wear a decent pair of sun glasses. :)
Well, I just bought a pair of "fit over" sunglasses, I've tried clip ons and the like and they annoyed me by the fact that they can easily come off, especially while driving, which is a bad thing in my book.
The good thing about fit-overs is that they actually block to the side as well. But on the other hand, if you want to look "cool" then fit-overs probably don't look "trendy" enough. :/
my mom had a pair of those i used to wear... but nah, i didn't like 'em much. they weren't comfortable... screw style, i never leave the house enough to care. but my current pair of glasses gives me that little push. it's like a tiny confidence pill that says 'i have glasses to protect me from the evils of the world!'

I vote: lazer surgery, then get fake glasses to wear when you feel like it. That's my plan.
