This particular jetty is a pier made of large rocks that follows the curve of the shore and continues out into the gulf. They're to change the current and protect the beach from erosion. Good snorkeling and diving spots. Fishing, too.

Oh yeah, they have those all over Marseille coast. Forgot you live in FLORIDA -- sunny oceany land. Jealous, as I am returning to my landlocked prairie home.

We had problems last year with the oil spill and a few to this day, but still very fortunate. We spit and the ocean spits back, vice versa. I'm regrowing my fins.

The prairies are nice, too.

Hi I got here from your post on seashores: http://seashores.livejournal.com/283124.html

I love the coloring in these photos and would like to know if these are taken with film? If so, could i know what camera and what film you used?
Thank you :)

Yes. Just a cheap underwater camera from CVS. The film was preloaded and it has no brand though I suppose it might be cvs brand. The camera and plastic body preloaded runs for about $25 if my memory is correct. Most disposable cameras give the same look if the lighting is right. It was a bright sunny day that turned to a black, black storm. I should probably mention its not worth a shit for taking photos underwater as it was intended.
