You describe the whole experience so well, I'm positively glowing right now. I especially love the paragraph you devoted to talking about getting "in the zone" dance-wise. You make it sound like pure poetry <3 I haven't gotten into that hypersensitive, completely in tune with the music/partner bubble as much as I'd like (I spend waaay too much time freaking out in my head and catching myself anticipating .___.).
You don't fail, you're quite the opposite... you whale! That made no sense, but I digress. And I'm not just saying that because I'm your friend and have the self-esteem of a guppy.
Your explanation of the social dance dynamic - my thoughts exactly. Blues is an intimate dance, but at the end of the night, that's all it is - a dance. Anyone who reads more into it than that is not thinking straight.
