Are you 18 or over? No.

Canon: Inuyasha
Character: Kagura
Timeline: Chapter 336, after obtaining crystalized youki and hearing about Fuyouheki.
Personality: Kagura is a very strong female throughout the time she is seen in the manga. Sarcastic and rude at times, she's very opportunistic and sly, willing to go the extra mile for only herself. She only seeks out people to help her, and rarely decides to be supporting of anyone. She's the type of person that uses people to get what she wants, and anyone else is just boring to her unless she can fight them. She's attracted to people with power, and has a bit of an ego. She says what she wants to anyone below her in terms of power, and still somehow gets some snarky comments to her superiors once and a while if they are stupid enough to make her go off on them, such as getting her killed ( ... )

Kagura | Inuyasha | Reserved boundbyheart October 17 2011, 02:22:17 UTC
Background: Kagura first appears at Naraku's side, seemingly obedient to him. She killed the wolf tribe except for Kouga, and when Inuyasha and his gang arrive, she manipulates the dead bodies to fight them from behind the scenes. She then obeys Naraku and stops the dead bodies when Kouga arrives, forcing Kouga to believe that Inuyasha killed his clan. After Kouga proceeds to knock Inuyasha out, Kagura arrives to tell him that she was the one that killed his clan, but before he can attack, the fake jewel shard acts up and posions him, causing him to be unable to fight. She then starts to cut him up, trying to kill him. Inuyasha wakes up and tries to fight her alone for a while, but her wind prevents him from getting any attacks in until Kagome helps him. The spider shaped scar on her back is reviled, and the group is left to wonder why she has that mark as well as why she would smell like Naraku as she escapes them ( ... )

Abilities/Additional Notes: Kagura fights using a small fan, which she can use in several ways. All of her attacks can be purified by either Kagome or Kikyo, as well as be deflected by Inuyasha's Backlash. It seems to be unavoidable by speed, but barriers and transporting should work ( ... )

Robert Chase | House | Reserved derationalize October 17 2011, 09:26:01 UTC
Personality:First of all, Chase is a walking, talking example of a Catch-22. With him, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Show too much interest in him and you're branded suspicious; too little and there's obviously something wrong with him. Used to being treated as the pompous rich kid, he finds himself bewildered when that isn't the case ( ... )

Robert Chase | House | Reserved derationalize October 17 2011, 09:26:33 UTC
Background:Chase was born and raised in Australia. His father, Rowan Chase, immigrated from Czechoslovakia a couple years prior to his birth and later became a famous rheumatologist. While one might think this would open up a world of endless opportunities, Rowan was constantly absent from Chase's young life instead and it created a good deal of negative feelings between the two of them. Chase did, however, grow used to his father's absence. That is, until Rowan completely separated from the family and left him to care for his alcoholic mother in his early teens ( ... )

Years later, Rowan makes an appearance at the hospital and all but sets Chase on edge. He says he's in town for a conference and Chase spends the majority of the time irritated with his father. Rowan confides in House that he has terminal lung cancer, but leaves before telling Chase and even turns down his offer to grab a drink together. The incident creates yet another speed bump in their already deteriorating relationship. That would be the last time Chase ever saw his father ( ... )

Are you 18 or over? Yes! (Warning, there are parts of Armand's background and personality that involve non-consensual sex and violence that may offend some people.)

Canon: The Vampire Chronicles
Character: Armand
Timeline: The end of his book, after Marius turns Sybelle and Benji.
Personality: Armand is still in many ways like a young, spoiled teenager. He can be petty and childish, and still has quite a bit of work to do in finding his own. He has a habit of picking up one thing then the next, and making them his religion, starting with God in Kiev Ruz, then to Marius, then to the Children of darkness, then Lestat for a short time, followed by the Theatre des Vampires, then Louis, next was Daniel, then God again, and finally his dear Sybelle and her Apassionato. He requires something to cling to as his Everything, and becomes lost if there is nothing for him to make a religion, a worship, of. This may become the Animus in ( ... )

Perhaps because of the blood, perhaps because of his past, or maybe even a combination of the two, Armand has a sort of dark fascination in things as well, very much like the child that rips wings from a fly to see the wings better, and then see how the fly survives. It isn't always quite so violent, and after meeting Lestat he returns to his original methods of hunting only the evil-doer, but even then, he has a sort of controlling possessiveness that leads him to have the desire to rip the hair off of one of his victims after they already died because it was beautiful, though he planned to toss it aside later. It was mostly morbid curiosity ( ... )

Background: Armand was known as Andrei as a human child in Kiev Ruz. He was capable of creating beautiful paintings of holy figures, and revered by the priests for his talents. His father saw his skills as a money-maker as much as he saw it as a holy blessing, though even he was brought to tears by the beauty of his paintings. The priests expected him to eventually join the other priests who had buried themselves in the walls of the monastery, and Andrei had no objections, though his father had a great amount of disdain for the idea. Andrei had been commissioned by a noble figure to create one of these idols, and left with his father to deliver it shortly after his father had an argument with the monks over Andrei being buried alive ( ... )

That does not mean that they didn't get into trouble. Several times Amadeo came home terribly drunk, and once even needed to be rescued from the channels by his equally drunk friend, Ricardo. They both got into a great deal of trouble for this excursion, and even though he swore that he wouldn't drink again, he got drunk the very next night ( ... )

Timeline: Towards the end of Kingdom Hearts II, after he is reunited with Kairi and is just about to reunite with Riku.
Personality: Generally Sora is a pretty happy go lucky kind of guy. He does his best to keep a positive outlook on the circumstances he has been dealt and he also tries his best to keep the people around him happy. To him, it is only speculation as to whether or not it is real or not because it feels real to him, but what he didn't know was that the dream would prove to be more real than he could have imagined. When he ends up in the next world he has a dream, a flash back, about when he and Riku were kids before they met Kairi. They had gone together to investigate what Sora believed was a monster in their Secret Place. It turned out to only be the wind, but on that day they promised one another that they would explore the world, not just their tiny island. Sora wakes to find that he is in the belly of the whale Monstro. It is here where he runs in to Riku again. Only this time his friend doesn't exactly seem happy to see him. Instead he goads Sora into a game of tag, catch him and Pinocchio and he'd tell the secrets he had learned about Kairi's location. When Sora does catch up, Riku accused him of not even wanting to save Kairi. Their little spat is interrupted by a Heartless that had captured Pinocchio. Once they defeated said Heartless, Riku kidnapped Pinocchio, claiming that the puppet boy was likely a key to helping Kairi find her heart. In the end, Sora stands against Riku, but the same Heartless from before interrupts and Riku runs ( ... )

When he regains his senses, Sora has become a Heartless himself. Strange thing is he remembers who he used to be, what his purpose was. So he follows his friends Goofy, Donald, and Kairi. It is only when Kairi realizes that the Heartless following them is Sora and risks her life to defend him that Sora regains his heart. They defeat the Heartless and return to Traverse Town once more. While there he explains that Ansem used the Princesses hearts to unlock a door to darkness. Despite his uncertainty about what will happen once he seals the Keyhole that Ansem made, Sora returns to Hollow Bastion to seal it off and save Riku. He says good bye to the friends he made in Traverse Town, the friends he would likely never see again, and seals the Keyhole ( ... )

Are you 18 or over? Yes.

Canon: BBC's Sherlock
Character: Sherlock Holmes
Timeline: The end of episode 3; The Great Game.
Personality:Sherlock is, to put it lightly, absolutely terrible with people. He is analytical and he is intelligent. He values his intelligence and his skills over all else, and most certainly over personal relationships. It is because of this that he is a great mind (though not without some arrogant faults) who entirely lacks friends. That is, until he meets Dr John Watson -- a man with whom he forms an instant bond and, for lack of better description -- adopts and promptly moves in with. Sherlock is a reserved, though blunt, individual. He is capable of making connections and analyzing crimes within seconds; he can decipher motives from the tiniest of clues, and his mind moves at a mile a minute. It is almost an irony that he is capable of deciphering the motives and intentions of criminals with such scientific detail while at ( ... )

It should be noted alongside Sherlock's unusual approach to the human condition that he is also a rather eccentric character. His misunderstandings extend much further than his day-to-day interactions with the police force and society, and he is so eccentric that one of Sherlock's colleagues actually cautions Watson against becoming his friend. It is even suggested, early on in Sherlock's canon, that the detectives he spends his time with actually believe that Sherlock could be the criminal, serial-killing mastermind that they are after. It perhaps does not help his case that he keeps a jar of human eyes in his freezer for scientific study. Watson, meanwhile, is intrigued by Sherlock and continues to room with him and befriend him; even when he is put in positions of opening up Sherlock's refrigerator and finding himself greeted with severed heads. Severed and in Sherlock's refrigerator for science, of course. What other purpose could they be there for?

Abilities/Additional Notes:
If it can be considered an ability, Sherlock is often able to learn incredibly personal information about complete strangers to him with a mere glance. He also has a habit of making all sorts of blunt statements about what he's learned, without understanding of their consequences -- or understanding why doing such a thing would be upsetting to someone.

Sample Journal Post:
This is a rather strange development. Not the most unusual, but enough. I'm going to wager that everyone who arrives here spends their first minutes in a period of unnecessary self-reflection.

I am not going to do that. It has no purpose.

I have read the most recent posts of the individuals here. I cannot say I have made sense of them, but that doesn't matter. I am not going to ask where I am. Though I will ask those who are listening whether or not they could give me a bit more insight. I'm not proud that I'm asking, but there seems to be rather a lot at stake here in this… world. Enough that I find necessity in retrieving information ( ... )
