"I don't understand this holiday. Jesus was not born in December."

Castiel, from the side of the room, leaning against the doorframe and still getting over his fever, felt this was incredibly important to add. The most important thing, actually.

Amazingly this was the first time he'd done so yet this holiday season.

Sokka had been staying as a guest for a couple days, so he's had ample time to work on his snowflake cutting prowess. He's got one more in hand (an addition to the tree because that's apparently what he's supposed to do with it) when he catches Castiel's comment. "Who's Jesus?" Of all the things he'd heard about the holiday, this was the first time anyone had mentioned Jesus.

"The person whose birthday this holiday supposedly celebrates." Castiel responded, tone even and informative, even if the words were a bit scathing.

Usagi chimed in from the tree. "I think that's neat, though! It's like having two birthdays instead of just one!" Leave it to her to find the silver lining.

Castiel's tone wasn't lost on her, and while Christmas wasn't the time for scathing, she was curious. "You sound like you know a lot about it, though."
