Thanks - I haven't seen that film, and it sounds like one I'd really love. :-)

I highly recommend the international version. Just be prepared for a long movie. In total it's a little over 4 hours; it is a John Woo movie after all. But it's really good, and some of the best scenes were cut out/shortened in the American release version.

I'm cool with long when the film's worth watching - I've probably watched and re-watched Ran, Kagemusha, Apocalypse Now Redux and the LotR trilogy extended editions more often than any other DVDs I own. I'll make sure I pick the full version on Amazon or HMV.
