Ooh I used to knit lots, anything and everything, since my childhood. But not so much since I got internet and stopped watching TV/renting movies like I used to do before the interwebs stole my soul, I'm afraid. Trying to knit in the presence of four cats is... interesting, though.
Last thing I bought was two cat scratching boards online today. Takes my cat herd about 6 months to rip them to shreds, but that's their favourite kind of scratching post and for some reason they're getting hard to find in local pet shops.
I enjoy it. It is a very soothing process. However it is taking me away from cosplaying, which is bad because I have a con right after New Year's. Good news on that though is that I only have two jackets to do and ey don't take too long to finish.
I am looking forward to being able to knit sweaters and other things. I can never find a sweater I want at a reasonable quality or price
I have a lot of knitting books and patterns, mostly from Kim Hargreaves and Rowan. If you're interested - now or at any later date - just let me know and I'd tell you what books I've got and scan patterns for you. Rowan yarns are quite expensive (but gorgeous) but you can always substitute cheaper alternatives.
I get the urge to knit every year around this time. Must be the weather getting cold thing. I knit furiously for about six weeks then get bored til next year.
