Well 2000 miles closer (cause of course it's all about me) but still in a rad city. Also, yay LJ! Tempted ask what you're doing but I'm sure you'll say in due course.
I'm writing a web app for a solar power engineering company. I'm working on some open source software. It's pretty good, though now I'm combing through sublets and constantly low-level freaked out that I don't have a place to live.
-- love, a girl who played Sim City not so she could build cities but just to mess around with the terrain forming simulator, and spent her high school prom arm-deep in a model estuary.
Financial boat anchors, aye. I'm sort of eyeing actual boats, in that stupid-arse way that engineers do.
And north coast? It seems doable, if you like houses on permafrost pilings. Suspect the Inner Passage is much kinder, however.
This is one of the bike rides I've gone on since I've been out here. (Two months ago, now.) There was a certain moment at about mile 30 that was just... so absurdly much the best thing ever.
