I've been driving for ten years without being ticketed.

I've been ticketed TWICE this week.

Yeah, but the best scenario I can reasonably expect is a reduction in charges. After doing some online research, I've come to the conclusion that any single ticket in the state of New York is the equivalent to walking up to approximately four different government agencies/private businesses and throwing hundreds of dollars at each one. There's the actual fine, the court fee, the points on your license, the driver safety assessment, the insurance hike...

I say go for a reduction in charges, anyway...it's the least you can get, but it's something...You have enough troubles, I guess.

I was driving Moe home from work at about 12:15 at night, and missed a stop sign. Fairly minor fine there, but now I'm considering hiring a lawyer for the speeding one, since now I HAVE to get one of these reduced, or I'll be fined an additional $300 from the DMV for having 6 points. Not to mention my insurance rates.

Speaking of which...do you know what kind of coverage I have? I was talking to Sam, and he pays less than I do with two cars insured. I got a free quote from progressive, and they wanted about $76 a month, and I'm paying $123 a month now. Is my policy just really good, or am I getting screwed?
