Oh, this is so meta. Pitchfork Media shits on David Cross's comedy album It's Not Funny, then apparently gives him an article for rebuttal. He proceeds to tear them to shit, mocking their pretension with a list of fake albums to listen to while reading Pitchfork reviews.

3. I don't think I'm that pretentious, but keep in mind that our CDBaby.com page mentions a blurb calling us "The American Radiohead", which might - might - be one of the most ridiculous blurbs for a band nobody's ever heard of, ever.

I think you're too inclusive with your music tastes to be mistaken for pretentious. You listen to everything. I mean, holy shit. How do you consume so much music? There aren't enough hours in the day.

(As for the Radiohead thing: I think a fun exercise would be to write a fake blurb in the style of Cross's article, describing your own band in the most ridiculously asshat manner, and post that on your CDbaby page. Invent a new sub-genre!)

The EP is ripped and sitting in my iTunes library, so I'll listen to it sooner or later. I'm bad at forcing new music into my rotation.
