Infopost: The I Watch Too Many Cartoons Edition!

Dec 24, 2011 16:16

I'm presuming you guys already know a thing or two about my other boys, so I'm going to just do one up on Dean here, this semester. Because I'm lazy and watching E.T. on Space. It's a Christmas thing, perhaps.

So, without further ado, I present my new teacher!

Dean McCoppin! )

True story: My summer camp when I was in the fourth grade had parents who complained that the Iron Giant was too "Adult" for us to watch. So instead the camp put on ... Wayne's World. Yeah.

... That makes ALL THE SENSE.

Parents, sometimes. I don't even know.

When the fourth and fifth graders think you're taking care of them wrong...yeah. The parents complained after about Wayne's World.

Okay, this is one of those movies where everyone I know LOVES IT and I've still somehow never managed to watch it. BUT. I *THINK* IT MIGHT STILL BE STREAMING ON NETFLIX. So, PSA to everyone with the cheap Netflix, it might still be available.

I know what I'm watching after I get home next week, anyway. :)

If you are at all even remotely disappointed, let me know, and I'll totally let you thump me. But like ten out of ten nerdy animators agree that this movie is amazing, for what it's worth. :D

I love this movie so much. I know it's crazy to say about a movie without "fast" or "furious" in the title, but the Giant is the best role Vin Diesel has or will ever have.

AND THE ENDING. Basically, I could talk about this movie for hours, but I would never end up saying anything except "I love it a lot."

This. There is not a single thing about the movie that I don't love, right down to the subtle bits of character backstory that they slip into background shots.

Vin will never be able to top it. He just won't.
