Scandinavian Knitting Conference in Seattle: Anyone Else Going?

Jun 06, 2007 07:30

Hey, folks, I recently got my registration notification back from the Nordic Museum in Seattle for the Scandinavian Knitting Conference. They have workshops aiming at all skill levels, although I'm afraid by now the most popular ones have, of course, sold out.

Like the one that teaches how to make the infamous Mittens from Rovaniemi--which I, like a lot of you, first heard about from the Yarn Harlot in this blog entry. No, I didn't get in to that one (alas!), but I managed both shawl classes (Faroese and Icelandic) and Traditional Norwegian Design. Not everything is sold out, although the most popular ones (I wanted those mittens!) already are.

So! Is anyone else going?

PS: Mad props to faeryl to turning me on to this conference--and she didn't get into the mitten class either. 8-(
