raglan increases where knit meets purl

I have a quick question for you kids. I'm trying to knit a top-down raglan with stockinette front and back and reverse stockinette sleeves (they're cables with purl backgrounds), and I'm having trouble finding the prefect increase

My big issue with trying to do paired KFB/PFB increases is that when done in the standard manner, the new stitch is always to the left of the old stitch, which means that the two sides don't match. This doesn't exactly get to the point of your problem, but perhaps my solution to it will also produce a solution to your issue
