Elann's free patterns are not up forever. The Archive.org does not archive images when it archives the HTML. I did write down my modifications in a locked LJ post but really, blue sweater Back of sweater is 7 repeats now. Needs to be 6. Fronts are 4 repeats. Needs to be 3. So 12 on either side. Is that link correct? Because that leads to the "Schachenmayr Princess Vest" and the chart is there for me. Not a great image, it's obviously resized smaller, but workable. I've noticed that sometimes archive.org doesn't display images when it's overloaded even if it has them archived.

I believe sending you the charts would be a violation of copyright if you cannot get them off the 'net. The owner's intent is to not have the pattern available to the public, for whatever reason. Copying and sending a free pattern is the same as copying and sending a purchased pattern.

Even if they were free patterns to begin with? They were free patterns. The owner probably just didn't want the webspace anymore and left it behind. As long as no ones making profit of the final product, I really don't think it matters in this situation.
