Went to a beginner's aikido class tonight. It was given by an aikido club sponsored by Appalachian State University -- fortunately, I don't have to be a student to attend. Wait until you get to do your first Koshi Nage or Kyoku Nage.

I've forgotten what they called it exactly, but apparently it's a very soft form. The only hard movements are in point strikes, according to these people.

And by the time you get here, I seriously doubt I'll be in any kind of position to demonstrate anything I may or may not have learned. These people are fond of taking everything verrrry slooooowly.
