That is a very nice card. And educational. : ) However, the state flower of Ohio is not the red carnation as shown. It's the flower with the orange and yellow striped stem and the bright yellow blossom on top that grows on Ohio roads from spring through winter. I don't recall the name...oh...yes, now I remember...the traffic cone.

You are thinking of the varietal Dianthus vinylis :) which is a first cousin to Dianthus caryophyllus, beloved flower of William McKinley.
