I can't place the "I suggest you put on a tie." line. "Put. Ze candle. Back." is a favorite of mine.
The thing about The Twelve Chairs, is story behind it is not Brooks', but a Russian novel. Apparently there's a Cuban film version in which the humor is less broad, and closer to that of the book. Apparently also, according to reviewers at Amazon.com there is not an English translation that does the book justice.
Completely unrelated, another favorite family line "E-myergency! Everybody to get from street!"
I felt that way about Christopher Eccleston...I loved his big ears! But you HAVE to give Martha a whirl! And Jack comes back! You need to see Jack come back and find out who he really is! You just must!!
