I'm trying to think of something to say, so that this stupid thing doesn't keep shocking me...but I just don't care.

Sorry, if I don't want to settle for falling into some meaningless routine, or communicate with people who don't even know me anymore.

There. And later, I will repeat this. Even the insults are boring.

Are you sure you wish for that?

Why not just turn it on, then back off?

You have nothing to anchor you.

Anchor?

Nothing to keep you away from the apathy.

Thing is, you're not the only one who's bored.

Not yet. I haven’t been here long enough.

If the routine is so meaningless, maybe you should put meaning to it.

Reply

adventlead May 10 2010, 21:02:37 UTC
I already did that. Kind of doesn't work out when every time you do that meaning is stolen.

toward_dawn May 10 2010, 21:20:27 UTC
It's only stolen if you're the one to forget. You can rebuild it if you hold on to that memory. [He's rebuilt his own meaning several times.]

And what happens when you tire all your resources to do so?
