My tattoo is of a stylized pink ribbon and butterfly combined. The Annapolis Valley is beautiful. It primarily agricultural, although there are two universities in the valley and some manufacturing. It is sheltered on one side by the North Mountain which protects the valley from the Bay of Fundy (which has high tides) and the South Mountain which protects the valley from the Atlantic Ocean. In the late spring they hold an Apple Blossom Festival in the valley. The pace is a little slower and there are the most beautiful Victorian homes that are really reasonably priced.
The Annapolis Valley sounds beautiful... I can picture you there... Craft room looking out onto an apple orchard... A beautiful porch with wicker furniture... A garden... :o)
I must admit that I don't even know where to begin... Like the majority of my countrymen it never occurs to us what it is like to live anywhere else in the world... And for some reason when you mentioned Basque, France is what popped into my mind and I'm not even sure why... *skims over Wikipedia info* French Revolution...that's why! Do you live in the city? Or the country? What languages do you speak besides English? Have you ever been to America? How do you perceive America/Americans? If you are comfortable, could you share what your childhood/upbringing was like? We could definitely do an exchange - quid pro quo - if you like... :o)
