Wow, thanks for the tip. I'm shopping for my own equipment (4 track etc) but I'll definitely check it out.

Obviously I can't spend much, but my range is $300-400, so it will be good enough to get my stuff onto actual tape and eventually CDs. But eventually I'll want good studio equipment and that's where your idea would come in.
