The last two evenings were great. I might even venture to say that Friday was magical.
I'll break this shit down in list form.
Friday
- Met Sydney, Steph, Ellie and Mike at the bar on Louisiana and Pearl, Hanson's. Played pool. It was kind of surreal and they asked us to leave at 5:30. Cody showed up shortly thereafter.
- Picked up Garrett.
- Went to Mike's work, the movie theater at Dave & Busters with the intent of seeing something. Nothing was good.
- Went to hookah bar on Colorado Blvd. Had to go pick up Elena and Max on 8th. Kinda far away, fun drive though.
- Got watermelon-pomegranate-something else hookah. Taught people how to blow smoke rings. Smoke rings are pretty.
- Went to little Indian grocery store. It was really cool. Bought a thing of ten pita bread whatevers for two dollars and a "Mid East Mango Juice Nectar" drink. Sipping on it now.
- Went to Breakfast King. Elena said that she was at peace with everything and that she wanted to spend forever there drawing people. Played the movie game then the band game.
- Started snowing. Lightning! We were all aghast at the lightning during a snowstorm.
- Went outside. The snow was like soft hail. Thick, light, sticky, coming down in balls. None of us had seen anything like it.
- Drove with seven people in the car to Platte park. The snow was too amazing to pass up.
- Spent the next hour (11:00 or so) running around, swinging, spinning, throwing snowballs. A twentysomething couple were there with us and started a raging snowball fight.
- Drove people home in a euphoric daze. Planned to take Cody home, but Broadway was too bad and dropped him at Garrett's.
Saturday (today)
- Went to pick up Spencer. Waited at his house for Cody, played Rock Band.
- Drove to Broadway light rail station and parked. Bought tickets. Mike, Elena, Ellie, Max, Daniel, Sydney and Stephanie showed up. Took train to Auraria campus.
- Walked though, smoked, joked. Got to Tivoli theater.
- Bought tickets for Teeth. The theater had Jujyfruit, which no theater has. I was pleased, and let the guy at the concession stand know this.
- The movie was completely awesome. If you don't know the premise, look it up. So much fun.
- Meandered. Mike couldn't find where he parked his car.
- Found the van, piled into it. Tried to get to Broadway, somehow ending up going west on 6th. Turned around, made it to the station.
- Drove to Perkins. Nobody ordered anything aside from a couple milkshakes. Probably annoyed the staff.
- Daniel did the Daniel thing, ranting about Zombie movies and whether Riddler taking drugs to beat Batman was canon or not. Told riddles. A few:
- What is in shadows but not in light, in day but not in bright, and in dark but not in night?
- Two fathers and two sons walk into a bar. They have drinks, and decide to split the tab equally. They pay $15 without using any change and not including tip. How?
- A woman shoots her husband, drowns him for five minutes then hangs him. Later, they go out for dinner. How?
- Drove more peeps home.
Life can be great.
