My flatmate's boyfriend has just moved in to our flat and he has snakes. They're fed mice and flatmate's boyfriend buys them in frozen packs and keeps them in the freezer

I don't think you're being unreasonable about the space part, but it doesn't seem like that's what it's really about. From the way you've worded your post, it sounds like you don't even use the freezer very often ("there's hardly any room if I wanted to buy some frozen food"). And it's clear that even if he reduced the number of mice in there so they only took up half of the space in the freezer, you'd still have a problem with it. The fact of the matter is, that's what snakes eat, and so long as they are properly frozen and packaged (if they're not, that's another issue), they're completely safe to store along with food.
Anyway, my advice is to talk to the boyfriend about it. Tell him that the freezer needs to be split 50/50, and whoever needs more space than that (i.e., him) needs to buy their own. If you want the conversation to stay cordial and productive, I do *not* suggest bringing up the "you didn't ask me" "we were here first" or "ew, mice!", because that will only make him feel defensive and less open to compromise.
Yep, this. I'd also consider being open to the mice being better concealed. Maybe they could be in a small box or cooler bag and then you wouldn't be constantly confronted with their presence.
Well, when I say there's hardly any room...there really isn't, haha. You can store maybe two average sized frozen pizzas in there with a little space for a small tub of ice cream. We can't buy lots of food and keep it in there for weeks, there's just no space, and when we put anything in there, it'll usually be for dinner that night/the next day

I agree with teacoat that the mice is the issue more than the space. Your new roommate is actually feeding his snake the best way possible. Snakes eat rodents. By feeding frozen it's the best option for everyone including the snake because live feedings take the chance of the pet getting hurt, the food getting out of the enclosure or container before it's introduced to the pet or having to breed your own food which has a huge nightmare. Frozen mice are perfectly safe to have near food are really no different then refrigerated dog food or cat food. As long as it's sealed you should never have to worry about seeing or touching a mouse. Since you do have a small freezer I would talk to your roommates about splitting the space fairly but not bring up that you were there first or they should have to buy a special freezer because they are storing snake food or anything like that.
Eh, you know what, I wouldn't be ok with that at all. If he's moving in, he should be telling you and your boyfriend that he has snakes and that he'll be storing dead mice in your freezer. I'm with you, yeah, it sounds silly, but I've dealt with flatmate's pets and their food in the past and its been hassle after hassle. I lived with a girl who had a cat and she had its food and water on a little tray in the kitchen and every day without fail, there'd be food scattered across the floor and water spilt over. I'd end up cleaning it because the flatmate would be at work and I didn't want crap all over the floor. It got annoying, fast. You don't know how vigilant this guy is at making sure the mice are stored correctly and packaged properly. You've said the freezer is combined with the fridge so if he doesn't store the mice right, what if one drops into the fridge or something
