You need to give it time. It's only been a very short amount of time and you need to let your heart heal. Writing does help, spending time with friends and keeping busy also help. Sometimes you need to take the time to cry, to vent, to take walks and hot baths. Pamper yourself! Depending on how serious things were with him, it might take a few month to start feeling better.
With that said, take a break from the dating world. and don't make contact with your ex. Both things could really backfire. Ask friends to keep you busy. Dive into your school work or work more hours if you can. Do things you enjoy doing.
and mostly, give yourself time.

omg he called me this morning just to tell he missed me and loved me. i think he's just trying to mess with my head and its working because i'm so confused right now.
