Hey darlin!! Its Jeremy and Elizabeth! We have missed you but now we can keep up with you on LJ ;) Hope things are going well and hope to see you soon. Much love!
Awww yay! I've added you back. I'm so glad I did this so I can keep up with all of you guys. I just can't make it to the shows (esp during the week) like I used to.
I was telling Steven last night that now that I actually enjoy my job I find I prefer to be awake while I am there. Ha ha ha!
Are they making another Star Wars?! LOL! (Inside joke people). I'm so glad you went with us to see that. IT ROCKED! Ok so Steven kept trying to explain what he was trying to say on the way home. He kept saying that it really didn't answer any questions because they explain it all in the origionals, and I was like, NOT ALL! I mean you never really knew that the Chancellor was where the Emperer came from (at least I don't remember that being explained). Besides it's different to hear it and to actually see it. Anywho... I loved it honey! Can't wait to see you tonight! Mmm... Steven's cooking... I'm already getting hungry! You're probably gonna have to fight him over the movie we watch though. I bought him Miss Congeniality 2 last night! See ya in a few hours honey! Corey

Right. Cause, what I loved about the prequels was the fact that it gave CONTEXT for the political and social situation that we are kind of....well, thrown into in the original trilogy.
They are different types of movies in that the originals are more about the character moving through this situation and we fall in love iwth them trying to make their way through it. The prequels tell us what all that means and I am a total geek for world building.
And I loved seeing the ambiguity of Anakin's fall. There was no One Big Reason that he turned to the dark side and it wasn't just one person's fault. It wasn't just because the Jedi didn't trust him, it wasn't just for Padme to not die. Mainly he was greedy and a megalomaniacal sociopath.
But he was hot. :)
Man, I am STARVING. I can't WAIT for some good Steven cooking tonight. It's been way too long.
Okay, I did not say that I did not like the movie I was just expressing the fact that it was not all it was made out to be. Out of the three of us I am the only one who actually grew up loving STAR WARS as a kid and on into my teen years so I did not really learn anything new and may be the original movies did not have the answers to the questions but the game that was released back then did have a little more detail to what and how things came to be. Also, the books about the movie go into more detail as well and I can not say that I ever read them (we all know that I do not read, ITS A SIN!J/K!), but I did own them and I did scan through them. So it was not that I did not like the movie its just not a big surprise to me and I thought that they were going to REMAKE the original movies as well and make the graphics better in them, you know something for this generation to enjoy, that is what I was talking about when I asked if they were making a new movie.

I mean, an entire generation knew what happened in the prequel movies, and I don't think loving Star Wars all your life changes that. And, for the record, I've read the novelizations of all six movies, and they really don't shed much light beyond what's on the screen, with the exception of the Revenge of the SIth novel, which is awesome

Hello you Sexy Bitch!!!porshablackJuly 14 2005, 14:17:10 UTC
Damn girl!!! Where have you been, I have missed you soooo much!!! Sooo glad you have a live journal account now, so I can see how you are from time to time... Haven't gotten to see my fabulous daughter as much as I would like to, there is always something else going on at that time. Anyways, the times I have seen her, she has been fucking amazing, and you would be extremely proud of her... If anyone should be called her drag-mother it should be you, I think you did more for her and her career than anyone else ever could have... I know she appreciates and loves you more than words could ever say... You are the best... Thanks for always being there for us when some of us tired-ass drag-queens should have been told to sit down and never get back on stage... You have always been super to everyone of us, and we all appreciate and love you... Like I said, YOU are the BEST!!!! I LOVE YOU GURL!!! Smooches, PORSHA B
