Hello, fellow Californian. For some reason, LJ sent me an email with your post, probably because of mutual friends like Sam and Elfscribe, and I was drawn to read it because I can relate - I've been in the same house since 1978, which is next door to my childhood home. Plants and trees have meaning in our lives - they trigger memories of childhood, happy times, times when we were surrounded with those we loved the best. Hold on to those memories. Like others in our fandom, I know the pain of losing a husband to a dreaded disease, and I have a silly smile on my face that your husband is doing so well! Btw, we're of age, and I'm on the border of LA county and Orange county.
