I have written a few stories, all original fiction. I often adapt character races from legend and fiction, but the characters and worlds are mine. Some stories are one-offs (so far), but others seem to form series with a shared world and/or shared characters. These include:

To see stories in only one series, click on the series title. You might get a few non-story but related posts, too. A few series are friends-locked; these are labeled as such.
The Brock family stories:
- This series is set in a modern, alternate world where magical creatures are as common as plumbing and computers. They feature one or another member of the Brock family, who tend to have a knack with both skilled crafts and magical critters.
- Manny Brock is a plumber who can evict the gremlins in the pipes, then patch the damage they did. Tammy Oberheim is a young woman who becomes a repeat client.
- Obie Brock is Manny's younger brother. He's a college student staying at Denver Hall, a dorm at his university. Larson is Denver Hall's sports-mad dorm god, who's good at fixing things. Angelina Ingalls, Obie's fellow student and dorm mate, and the computer demon Obie finds in Angelina's roommate's computer also have recurring roles.
The Avilee stories:
- Avilee is a young girl who loves apples in all forms, and isn't above stealing to get some. Forster is a small boy who notices more concerning this than his mother does.
The centaur stories: (partly friends-locked)
- Philo and Delphine are centaur siblings who live in the elves' town. Otis and Ilona are centaur siblings who live out in the forest, hunting and gathering their food. Philo and Ilona are in love. Otis and Delphine don't know each other well. However, they love their siblings dearly, and want to see them live happily together. Philo and Ilona love their siblings no less in return.
- In addition to the Philo, Delphine, Ilona and Otis stories, which are open, is a locked family-style story told by a descendant of one of the very first centaurs to work for the elves, about how their family started the practice.
The "Widow Mere" stories: (mostly friends-locked)
- Marigold "Mere" Banks is a young halfling minikin widow. She has five children: a son, Robin, two daughters, Opal and Violet, a niece, Sapphire, and a nephew, Odolf. They also have several pets, (mainly cats and otterkin, a type of otter domesticated by the lizardfolk), and some distinctly odd friends and neighbors for halflings (but not minikin) to have, including not just humans and lizardfolk, but leprechauns, centaurs, brownies and more.
The Mismatched
Misadventures of Princess Kili and Prince Carmello:
(friends-locked)
- Kili is a dwarven princess. She sees a chance to win a necklace that, with enough work, would be the envy of the dwarven court back home. Prince Carmello is an elf. He wants a companion for the evening who's more interested in dancing than in the cheap jewelry he puts into a contest. They both get what they think they want. Then the real misunderstandings begin.
- Kili and Carmello's September Story:
I'm posting a Kili-and-Carmello story as I write it, since waiting to finish it didn't seem to be working. Since it is mostly unbetaed and currently unfinished, this story is collected separately here. When it's done, I intend to revise it and post it with the other Kili and Carmello stories. {Smile}
The Library Letters: The Fern Letters
- This is my half of a Personna Letters game I'm playing with silver_677. I'm writing letters as Fern, a young librarian. She's just started a new job (not her first) at the Lalandian Archive. (It's a large archive in a town on an unspecified satellite in the Lalandian system.) She's writing to Emme, a librarian she met at a recent library conference. Emme is also starting a new job in the Lalandian system. Expect letters, not discrete stories with clear plots.
