The funny thing about my job is that as long as I don't particularly think about it, I kind of like it. The pay is shit, but I don't have a lot of expenses. It's hard work, but I'm young and healthy. I understand, believe me. In my case I left the 'fast track' for a woman in Naval Intelligence (which I really didn't enjoy all that much), to be June Cleaver. (well, not June Cleaver, but a stay at home mom). I always hate that 'What are you doing now?" question from old coworkers and school mates.

As long as you can live on the pay, be happy. If you ever need more money, choose the least offensive, time consuming, soul-sucking job you can find for the desired money. Happiness is way more important.

Thank you. It seems like every time I say this sort of thing, everyone starts giving me advice on how to get a better job. Nobody seems to get that I'm happy like this and would just like to not be hassled about it.
