i'm kind of in love with the long-shirt trend. when i was in middle school, shirts were all short. cropped was a big word. visible midriff was in. lately the trend has been for longer shirts, hitting at mid-hip instead of above-hip

omg i know right?? I also appreciate this trend in motherfucking cardigans. The short torsoed of America have governed shirt length for entirely too long. It's time we take those 4 inches of fabric back.
I wore leggings when I was in elementary school all the time with long shirts. Except mine had like giraffes and shit on them. Regardless, Hollywood took forever to catch up. I've been over it for years, bitches need to let it go.
oh god I love the long shirts. they are great for fat girls too, cause I wear my jeans high up on my hips to cover my belly, so I just look like a soccer mom who pulls her pants up too high when I wear a short t-shirt. but long ones cover my DIRTY PANTS SECRET and for this, I love them. also I have huge boobs so short shirts just ride up. okay basically long shirts are just awesome in every way. THE END.
precisely. long shirts=good, and if you don't like them get your fucking shirts hemmed. as tall people have known for years, you can't hem things longer.
i'm tall, long everything (long neck, long torso, long legs--idk why i'm not 10 feet tall) and wicked curvy to the tune of 35-29-39 (try buying dresses with those kind of measurements, fuuuuuuck me). so anything that makes it slightly more likely that i'll be able to buy clothes off the rack and have them cover me and look decent is goooood by me. and anything that reduces the incidence of visible muffin top aka "i TOTALLY FIT IN THIS SIZE AMIRITE?" syndrome is, clearly, awesome.
basically i'm in favor of clothes that are reasonably likely to look good on real people.
Ha, I was just thinking about this yesterday. I hate shirts that ride up; it's uncomfortable and unflattering.
Also: leggings. They weren't good fashion in the 80s, they aren't good fashion now. We really didn't need to try again. And people who wear leggings with a long knitted shirt as if it were a short dress, whether thin or fat, need to get some fucking sense knocked into them.
