Writing, an informal poll, and bit of silliness....

There is both good and bad news regarding current fic status. Good first: I've written over 20000 words of fanfiction in the last month and a half, which, considering that I usually take anywhere from three months to a year to produce that much for a chapter of about 66-75% the size, goes to show that when I want to sit down and WRITE, I can in ( Read more... )

Merci!!! Merci Beaucoup!!! anonymous October 8 2007, 04:43:03 UTC
Ahhh, that and the other post of yours were wonderful! I feel much better now, able to tide myself over for at least another week! I love how Harry could just come up with something like that, and not only that, but convince the guy he really is a Boggart!! Utterly hilarious, I could just picture it!

Oh, and yes of course I would love to see the novella about the founders. They're almost as interesting as a new chapter. That and the fact that I could probably read anything by you and enjoy it. Sidenote: would you happen to have some random completely unrelated little something that we could read? It'd be interesting I think to see where you could take us with something completely new. I'm sure everybody would soon love it as much as they do Nullifier!!! (Question, have you ever had anybody not like Nullifier??? It doesn't seem possible to me!!!)

I'm afraid Nullifier pervades even my original fiction at times! Four of the eight or so short stories I wrote for my fiction classes were at least slightly influenced by a character or a relationship from Nullifier. And yet, at times, I look at what I write and call fanfiction (particularly the stories about the generation before the founders) and wonder if it's correct to call it that either, when all they bear in common with the source material is a few magic concepts and the fact that they take place in England rather than some fantasy world. Oh, the murky lines drawn in the sand ( ... )

......Oh my gods! Cannon can go burn in hell, this is now my cannon Harry and your founders are now my cannon founders! I loved how Harry managed to convince them that he was a boggat, that was beyond brilliant! I would have loved to see the founders and Warin's reaction if Harry told them that he had managed to convince Morass's agents that he was a boggat! *Mad giggling*
