House Of Leaves

I am currently working my way (slowly) through Mark Danielewski's House of Leaves.  No book I have ever read has freaked me out so much.  I mean, the same feeling as when you've just seen a (really) scary movie: heightened senses, a tense sort of awareness, an unconcious listening to the silence just in case you hear... something ( Read more... )

Dracula - Unabridged

Not by the content but by the lenght of the unrelated (not about Dracula) letters sent by Harker to all of his male friends.

Scary to the core, much better than the movie.

Not so scary, but thrilling and captivating in a 'how did it get burn?' way.

does anybody remember those "13th Floor" books, they're young adult fiction? I read them back in grade 4 and they kept me awake at night for weeks. Freakin' terrifying.

Oh and I am never ever reading Cthulhu. Except in the daytime, surrounded by loyal warriors, and suicide pills.
