I was having a rough night on Tuesday. Everyone was taking what I said the wrong way, or just being overly protective. I finally got everything sorted out (I think),and was ready to go to bed. I looked over at my nightstand and saw, drumroll please, THE COMIC. As in the one I shredded and burnt last week. Looking very much in one piece,

this may be a weird suggestion...but why don't you mark the book in a way that is impossible to copy and only you know, then give the book to a close friend who can safeguard it for you? That should get rid of it...at the very least you'll know who's responsible for getting it back.
