That poem is... amazing. I don't really like poetry all that much these days, but it made me have real images, that stood out to me and made me feel like I understood exactly. It's one of my favorite poems that I think I've ever read, because I think I can relate to it. Not even joking, love... would I ever do that with you? I especially like the first stanza, and also the part about the feeling of ribs in the car.
I'm glad you started writing again, and posting! I have a writing class this semester, so perhaps I will post things as well. And as you know, I'm happy for you, and I'm glad you posted what you think about chances. I'm one of those people who gets caught up in counting chances, and your way seems a lot more sane to think about it.
I just wanted to post something because your situation seems a bit similar to a few situations I've encountered. I dated someone for about 4 and half years. He ended up leaving me for someone else. We did get back together a few months after that. Things seemed to be working out, but then the same exact thing happened again, with the same girl. After a month of dating her, he tells me how he's miserable with her and misses me, and wants to be with me, etc. Now, I'm not saying that your boy will do the same thing, but I guess my point is just to be cautious. I was, and I guess still am in love with this boy. It was actually worth it to get to spend that time with someone I was in love with, even though it ended up rather sour on my part. I think he's still a little confused, and hadn't really taken the time to himself to think about what he really wanted before he got back with me which is a part of why I think it failed a second time. All of my friends and family thought it was wrong to get back with him, but with him it seemed like
