Tidbits from the front

I soooo incredibly want this job:

It’s very much what I did back in the days when I dressed as a tree (or sand dune). I have always enjoyed working in Logistics.

I would have very much appreciated the part-time Computer Technician position with Southern Boone School District. They really need the help, and I’d love to get some technical support on my resume. But, I would have had to have a full-time job in addition to that position, which would have created scheduling conflicts sooner or later. So, it’s probably for the best that they decided on someone else. They did, however, send me a very nice e-mail, asking if they could keep my resume on file, in case the person they hired doesn’t work out. Good to know they have such faith in their decision. Oh well…, if you can’t be the first choice, it’s at least nice to discover you were the runner-up.
Luckily, I have been able to avoid the worst of the “unemployed blahs” that I suffer while looking for work. I’ve noticed that the longer I’m engaged in this process of “pimping myself out”, I become more cynical, listless, and at times downright morose. As long as this cycle of: 1.)finding a job I’d like, 2.)getting an interview, and 3.)not getting the job, continues to overlap as it has between positions, I think I’ll make it through the next week or two without getting into the bad stage. That’s alternating between no sleep for a couple days, then falling out for 16 hrs. at a shot, as well as becoming a “snipity bitch”, as I am wont to do when really depressed. Let’s all hope to avoid that, shall we?

In other news, we signed our lease today, and can start moving in the 23rd of next month. It’s a nice place, with nearly the usable space we currently have, a garage, and will be both cheaper to rent and easier to heat and cool than the “wooden pup-tent” we currently occupy.
The new kitten is home, sans testes. He has made it very clear that he does not enjoy his cool new cat carrier. Other than that, he seems to be settling in nicely. We’ll try to get some pics for email requests soon. I also need to look into a PhotoBucket-y thing, I think.
More later, as it’s not like I have much else to do…
