"Who?"

So, it’s only been, what…, 7 months since my last post?
I have been checking my friends list pretty regularly, just to keep current. But I haven’t felt the need to post, primarily because I’ve spent the majority of this year internalizing a lot of personal issues.

Well, screw that! I’ve decided that I have to let go and move on.

Relationships: Ever more in love with my life-mate, who has been the lone jewel in an otherwise muddy life as of late. If I could get one wish granted to me, it would to be allowed the words and ways to describe how very much she means to me. Rediscovering, however, that friendships are delicate things in infancy, and can become feeble with age if not maintained. As I am a more social creature than my mate, this will require a bit of work.

Job: Yep, got one of those now. It’s a Customer Service Supervisor position for a tele-radiology firm. I envisioned it as an opportunity to utilize both my ninja-like “Make it work” skills, as well as the jack-booted-thuggery that passes for my mid-level management style. It may well turn into a “waiting with thumbs positioned for ‘SWITCH’ command” situation instead. I’ve done several short sessions of observation concerning portions of my duties, with 2 shift-long sessions scheduled late this week. Then, off to Coral Springs, FL. Where, trapped between the Atlantic and the Everglades, I will spend two glorious weeks in a crash course on procedure and policy.

General Stuff: After nearly a decade, I have reverted to the practice of putting small pieces of plastic on my eyeballs, from time to time, in order to correct my eyesight. My battle with getting contacts into and out of my eyes is legendary, with some marathon bouts lasting 45 min. or more. I just suck at it. Getting better every day, though, and haven’t needed more than 5 min. recently. Vehicle 1 should be ready to tackle winter driving, with new tires and alignment check. Vehicle 2 may get a new exhaust once finances allow, but will suffice for now. Our homelife is good, although with two new jobs schedules are a bit out of whack. My family is still insane, while I teeter on the edge.

So ends the briefing. Any questions?
