Characters: Zalbag Beoulve, Caim
Date: Jan. 27
Summary: Caim talks to Zalbag using Solidor's class as an excuse. Then he moves onto his own personal feelings. Basically, Caim needs help. And a whole hell of a lot of it.
Warnings: Noooone. Not really.
"Caim" (9:46:05 PM): Lord Zalbag.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:17:58 PM): Ahh, Lord Caim.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:18:05 PM): How fare you tonight?
"Caim" (10:19:54 PM): I could stand to be quite better.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:20:17 PM): Something troubles you?
"Caim" (10:20:25 PM): Indeed.
"Caim" (10:20:46 PM): Professor Solidor tries my patience.
"Caim" (10:26:55 PM): What are the consequences to killing the faculty?
"Lord Zalbag" (10:29:51 PM): It may not be a plausible idea. My ears have burned at the mention of that man. But alas, the Superintendent provides him employment regardless.
"Caim" (10:30:12 PM): Then I would gladly do away with the Superintendent.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:49:44 PM): Do you believe in your soul that it would be the right solution, Lord Caim?
"Caim" (10:50:05 PM): I am uncertain. I would find myself feeling far better, however.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:53:21 PM): I understand. Though I think it very unorthodox to immediately dispose of him, I do not feel that the establishment will agree with you.
"Caim" (10:54:02 PM): I would rather dispose of Solidor. Surely you can... offer sense to him.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:56:45 PM): I will attempt to do so. Though, I'm afraid promise is something little I can guarantee.
"Caim" (10:58:25 PM): I ask not for a promise. For the sake of those I need to protect, the least I could ask for is a simple attempt.
"Lord Zalbag" (10:59:54 PM): I shall try, Lord Caim.
"Caim" (11:00:29 PM): ... You have my gratitude to the very fullest, Lord Zalbag.
"Caim" (11:00:35 PM): I... wish to ask something more of you.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:00:47 PM): Not at all, Lord Caim. What is it?
"Caim" (11:01:02 PM): You spoke of a brother you had. Younger, perhaps?
"Lord Zalbag" (11:01:14 PM): Of 10 years, yes.
"Caim" (11:01:27 PM): How do you view him?
"Lord Zalbag" (11:06:20 PM): I...
"Lord Zalbag" (11:07:12 PM): I wish I've the chance to tell him how proud I am of him...
"Caim" (11:08:14 PM): You love him then.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:09:27 PM): With all of my heart. Though, Ramza was a man sooner than most of us had ever hoped. I think it foolish of me to miss him as he grew as a man.
"Caim" (11:10:45 PM): You sound as though you wanted to be very close with him. It would be a shame if a sibling declined from spending time with his other siblings.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:12:49 PM): Duties as a commander of an entire army prevented me from becoming close with Ramza. He raised high stakes of placing accusations towards my older brother, Dycedarg, about killing our father. At the time, I dismissed it as child's play. When I found the truth, I was much too late.
"Caim" (11:13:44 PM): ...I... see. You have my sincerest apologies. I... was unaware that... speaking of such would bring about such... sorrowful memories.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:14:30 PM): No, please. It is quite alright. Though, it is the first time I've brought upon these memories once again. Not even Lord Edge has heard of this.
"Caim" (11:15:05 PM): ... I imagine I will not share these thoughts with your counterpart then.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:15:59 PM): Mayhap that is not a great idea.
"Caim" (11:16:33 PM): I cannot imagine I would say a word. I had simply... looked to you once more for guidance.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:18:10 PM): Aside from that, you fair well, yes?
"Caim" (11:18:58 PM): ...... I fair as well as I should in order to maintain the safety of my lady.
"Caim" (11:27:41 PM): Lord Zalbag.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:28:14 PM): Yes?
"Caim" (11:28:44 PM): ... I must say these things.
"Caim" (11:28:49 PM): And yet I am unable.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:29:10 PM): Do not feel it necessary to say it if you are unable, Lord Caim.
"Caim" (11:29:19 PM): Yet it is necessary that it be said.
"Caim" (11:29:35 PM): It would hardly be difficult to say it to you, but to say it to whom it matters most...
"Caim" (11:29:45 PM): A fear that an accomplished swordsman is not capable.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:30:45 PM): We all have fears, Lord Caim. No matter what the strength or courage.
"Caim" (11:31:25 PM): Then allow me to bestow my words upon you.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:32:23 PM): I am thusly listening.
"Caim" (11:33:41 PM): I love you.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:34:00 PM): I'm sorry?
"Lord Zalbag" (11:35:13 PM): ....I've the mind to presume that this is about.... her?
"Caim" (11:35:28 PM): How very observant of you.
"Caim" (11:37:01 PM): I cannot offer her these words. These are words she would need to hear. Her face lights up when she is in my company and I cannot offer her anything that she is deserving to hear.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:37:38 PM): Though if you do not feel it ready to say, then mayhap you shall not.
"Caim" (11:38:14 PM): It is... not as though I do not wish to. My situation complicates it. Far more so than I wish it to.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:38:31 PM): How so? How must this complicate it?
"Caim" (11:39:31 PM): Alexandra's presence to me is cause for complication.
"Caim" (11:41:01 PM): That I am at the compassion of that woman is cause for complication.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:41:13 PM): I hear you have troubles with her, Lord Caim.l
"Caim" (11:41:33 PM): Am I so vocal on such?
"Lord Zalbag" (11:41:53 PM): In text, mayhap.
"Caim" (11:42:08 PM): Ha. Due to my lack of a voice.
"Caim" (11:42:19 PM): That is but one piece of the puzzle.
"Caim" (11:43:33 PM): The other... lies with... her.
"Caim" (11:43:49 PM): Perhaps you would do for me a thing more..?
"Lord Zalbag" (11:44:52 PM): What is it?
"Caim" (11:45:21 PM): She wishes to meet you. She found your words beautiful.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:45:34 PM): I see... Who is she?
"Caim" (11:45:53 PM): Her name is Furiae.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:47:27 PM): Ahh, I see.
"Caim" (11:47:47 PM): ... If I may be so bold, my younger sister.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:48:01 PM): Oh, I see.......
"Caim" (11:48:36 PM): A complication indeed. You do understand my inquiries.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:53:34 PM): As surprised as I may appear to be, I understand
"Caim" (11:54:49 PM): I would request that you do not... I...
"Lord Zalbag" (11:55:03 PM): Pardon?
"Caim" (11:55:22 PM): Furiae's status as a woman could be damanged by this. I must not let that happen, whatever it may cost.
"Lord Zalbag" (11:56:58 PM): I will speak with her should she wish it, Lord Caim.
"Caim" (11:57:23 PM): If you have any words to offer in objection to this, offer them to me. She would break far too easily. She wishes to see you, however. It is because of your words that she felt so inclined as to be open of her love for me.
"Lord Zalbag" (12:03:31 AM): I see... I've no objections, however.
"Caim" (12:03:52 AM): ...Is that so...?
