Cecil would most likely not want to see an attempt at Fire, especially not with the logical choice of Rosa's only non-enhancing, non-enfeebling or non-restorative spell. A Holy-powered fire would most likely... well, nuke the living Hell out of the beach and still not light anything. (maybe instead melt everything?.) The thought would have been quite entertaining should Cecil have ever thought it, but alas. He didn't. He wouldn't. Rosa was far too responsible a mage for that.

Making his way across the beach and revelling oncemore in the all-too-frequent-as-of-late habit of thinking about things he had no control and no say over, he glanced her back to him as she looked toward the town. Sometimes it seemed she was like the sun. It was almost as if he felt a fog of self-doubt, confusion and uncertainty fall from him with every step he took closer towards her - as if the mere sight of the young woman reassured him and tore away all emotion save for the ones which mattered.

Kain showed up only a little late, really. There was something immediately "off" about the way he looked, even despite the fact that the others would have had a few weeks or month by now to get used to his new "off-duty" apparel. The less elegant and usually accompanied by something over his hair sort of clothes he was wearing lately. At first it wasn't too noticeable. But it was easy to figure out once a closer look was given: his hair. It was no longer bright and shiny, and the warrior had chopped off quite a bit of it, too. It was barely long enough for him to tie back at the nape of his neck. It was black, and he had as much of it as possible hidden beneath the turban-esque fabric wrapped 'round his head.

He didn't have anything with him--not even his usual constant companion, his spear. He seemed neither happy to be here nor displeased. He just...was.

He nodded to both Rosa and Cecil as he approached.
