HAVE A 9 YEAR OLD CECIL. D:

Cecil ran down the pathway to the park, rather terrified at waking up outside the safety of Baron's castle. None of the maids were nearby, nor the matrons, nor the castle's guard or even the Dragoons. He'd quite literally ran for it -- as far as he could through the strange lights and strange sounds of a modern city which both startled and confused him.

Until he found the trees, that was. They were the only things which had struck him as familiar throughout all of this- the term "worst nightmare" not even cutting it due to the fact he wouldn't even be able to imagine anything like this.

Colliding with the other boy, he couldn't help but let out a small sound and a startled cry. "Stay away!"

Sasuke yelped as he fell over. He hadn't expected to be run into. He hit the ground hard and sat there staring up in an accusing manner. "You're the one that ran into me!! You stay away from me!" He let off a confident manner but inside he was afraid of who this strange person was.

The other boy's condescending tone was something akin to water off a duck's back. While Cecil's time in Baron certainly hadn't been bad by any means, there had always been noble and knight alike which had questioned his place so close to the King. A mere orphan raised with the rights a son of a knight would expect-- no, even more than that, almost a prince's rights? In turn their scorn for him was known to the youth. He was used to this sort of thing; though even Kain hadn't been so uncouth.

He saw the confidence. Something which at this age he lacked; and he simply took a few steps back. This place was too strange. This kid too strange. and the noise.. it was deafening. "Fine!" he retorted -- turning and continuing to run. In his mind, he wouldn't stop until he got back to Baron's gates or found his liege.

Sasuke blinked a few times in confusion. He hadn't expected to scare the other boy away so easily. He grinned and stood up, dusting himself off. He suddenly was feeling a whole lot more sure of himself if he was able to scare someone away with such little effort.

"People here must be afraid of ninjas! This is going to be great!" Sasuke grinned from ear to ear as he strode confidently out from behind the trees.

Ten year old Link can run into him.

Thankfully, Link's clothes had shrunk along with his body, so he didn't have to worry about wearing over-sized tunics or boots. He had crept out of the dorms, not wanting anyone to see him in such a state, but he was bored and needed to get out, so he headed for the park.

After wandering around a little bit, he saw a familiar face, only, it was smaller than what he remembered. "Sasuke? Is that you?"

Sasuke spun around and tried to reach for a star but found his pockets were empty. Panic ran through him as he found he was unarmed in this strange place. He hadn't even perfected his ninjutsu yet, how was he going to defend himself from danger??

"Stay back! Who are you? How do you know my name?" He studied the strange new face. He didn't recognize him from his ninja class, nor was he part of his clan. He could have been a spy from another village! A wide array of scenerios played out in his mind as his imagination started to run wild.

Link raised his hands to show he wasn't armed. Looks like Sasuke turned younger and reverted to his younger mind...and memories.

"I'm Link! We were roommates for a while, remember?" Of course he didn't. "Look, I don't want to hurt you or anything! I don't know what's going on either!"

This child Sasuke was a lot different from the Sasuke he roomed with. He wondered what had happened to transform him so much.

Sasuke studied him closely, "You don't know either?" His expression suddenly changed and his eyes went wide. "What if this was some sort of plan by a hostile village to collect all the kids and take them to a strange place so that they can't grow up to be ninjas and defeat them!" Oh yeah..imagination is in full gear.

"My brother will find me! He won't let them keep me here. He's the strongest ninja I know! He'll defeat the bad guys and take us back home." Pride and excitement crossed his face as he talked about his older brother.
