1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.
That's a tough one. As much as I love Downgrade, myy vampirebebies!story (omg why does that still not have a project name) it just so much fun to explore, universe-wise. I love adding and twisting new folklore and myths within it while still keeping this really cool modern/dystopian feel to it. One of the few universes that I can visualize really well, too.
2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
Including super minor characters that I don't really mention, prooobably have upwards of 60-ish characters. When I was younger I preferred males just because I was terrified of creating female characters; I didn't want them to come off as too mary-sueish or just weak. Nowadays I have a good even blend of both. :)
3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you're writing about fictional places)?
For Downgrade characters I just began finding names within already existing words ('Sery' = 'Misery', etc). For the majority of them, though, I usually just go on some baby names website. :P
4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
One of my fiiiirst? Dang. Aside from Alindi, since she's the only character I've actually kept from way back when... lolol there were Connor and Kyndra, they were totally HARRY POTTAH OCs. And Connor was a werewolf. 8D And he was the broody Slytherin and Kyndra was the CUTESY CLUMSY Gryffindor and oh god it was just a terrifying train wreck.
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
My yoooungest character is Zachary, since he's just a bey-bee. Oldest... hmm. By immortality, probably Lotta. By appearance, Arro. Alindi is the oldest I created, and my newest isss.... VONNA? DOES SHE COUNT? IDK.
6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol' pen and paper?
... My... room? :D Usually mid-evening, and it used to be by paper but now it is COMPYUTAH.
7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
Nah, if I listen to music while I write I'll just start typing what I hear in the lyrics. Princess I relate to a lot of Lifehouse songs, Emily has her PONY SONG, Rie has Bat Country, and Blake has The Sun by Maroon5. :)
8. What's your favorite genre to write? To read?
I like to both read and write psychological horror/suspense/mindfuckery stuff. ;D
9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
I don't really have a process, usually I just get a certain idea or aspect I like and then go about making a character for that specific thing.
10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Everything from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!
Umm. There's just too many weird situations in RPland to count, lul.
11. Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?
To write? Hm. I enjoy... Blake, Rie, and the twins. Least favorite is prolly... Ethan, just because it's Ethan :D
12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of worldbuilding? Any side-notes on it you'd like to share?
Vampirebebies world. Downgrade still needs some work with expansion, the story requires more outer perspectiiive.
13. What's your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?
Aristocratic culture is super fun.
14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?
... No. :D
15. Midway question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!
I admire Neil Gaiman a lot... Margeret Weis, Oscar Wilde.
16. Do you write romantic relationships? How do you do with those, and how “far” are you willing to go in your writing? ;)
To be perfectly honest I fail at romantic relationships. Most of them are either superficial, end badly, or don't begin at all.
17. Favorite protagonist and why!
Princess! :) Because he's Princess. And has development yaaaay
18. Favorite antagonist and why!
Lotta, she's just... way too fun. Gets my creative juices a flowin.
19. Favorite minor that decided to shove himself into the spotlight and why!
Blake and Ies! Blake just started out as a shallow playboy character until I realized his issues with conscience and dependency in ze world~ Ies has her own issues that I never really thought about nor cared for, until she ended up actually becoming a really interesting character to me :D
20. What are your favorite character interactions to write?
Dude there's a lot. Sery/Ies, Betra/Rie, Rie/Lily, Mael/Blake, Princess/Blake, Twins...
21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?
Alindi has a son in her AU. Arro and Alice are the parents of Betra, Cecily's the more of Sery and Ies. Admittedly I need to work on writing them. XD;
22. Tell us about one scene between your characters that you've never written or told anyone about before! Serious or not.
THERE WAS TAHT ONE TIEM.... WHERE THE TWINS SLIPPED PRINCESS INCUBUS BLOOD.... yeah. Good times. :D
-shot-
23. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story-from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?
I'll let you know when I actually finish one :D
24. How willing are you to kill your characters if the plot so demands it? What's the most interesting way you've killed someone?
I'm way too willing to kill characters. That's usually one of the first things established. :P Aaaand the most interesting way... in my own canon.... in Alindi's badau her brain pretty much explodes out the back of her skull, I guess that's kinda interesting :D
25. Do any of your characters have pets? Tell us about them.
... I think Ies had a pet rat at one point, dunno where that went. Emily has her horsies... Nyx likes to have birdies but they usually die toofast :D
26. Let's talk art! Do you draw your characters? Do others draw them? Pick one of your OCs and post your favorite picture of him!
Yes, yes, and no. :D
27. Along similar lines, do appearances play a big role in your stories? Tell us about them, or if not, how you go about designing your characters.
I try to make characters visually interesting, so who knows :D And I just design them based on what... I think looks cool/fits with the personality :D
28. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there's nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.
Alexis is blind, Ies is bipolar, and Sery ends up missing an eye and getting a rather disfiguring burn scar covering half of his neck and face. I also consider Ethan's icky skinny emaciatedness a disfigurement, so whatevs. ... Oh, and Leigh had breast cancer and now half of her boob is missing, so there's that I guess. These aren't disabilities? TOOBAD
29. How often do you think about writing? Ever come across something IRL that reminds you of your story/characters?
Not much as I used to, unfortunately. Aaaand I see a lot of IRL stuff that reminds me of Lotta.
30. Final question! Tag someone! And tell us what you like about that person as a writer and/or about one of his/her characters!
CRAZEL HAS RENREN AND EDDY AND EDIS D8
ASHLET HAS APHRO AND JOSHIE AND RAZZY D8
SIR HAS SHAXY AND JACOB AND AL- lol totally kidding
AND ADDER HAS TEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDY
WHAT'S MORE TO SAY.
