Sounds like it could be interesting tonight. A couple plan to build a "Gothic Mansion" in Monmouthshire. I probably won't get to watch it because of the England Match but may catch it on C4+1 or replay.

I saw that last night, was good. Although I have no idea how these people manage to afford that sort of money. Apparently it cost between 300-400k.

The house was nice, I loved some of the stuff about it, but not all of it. What did you think?

They couldn't afford it! 100k of that was from raiding their parents' pensions at the last minute, to stop the whole lot folding.

"Addams Family" sounds like TV drivel, "C18th Scottish pastiche" would be fairer.

I liked the look of the place (mostly) but hated the clueless people and their lack of apprecation for historical details, or skill in project management.

Extraordinary - 30k on a staircase, 6k on a baronial fireplace. And then the 60"plasma screen next to it.

I thought it was horrible - a dreadful mishmash of styles, none of them true, and they had *no idea* how to dress the place.

Watching it on Mre 4 just now. I love the way he starts every programme by saying how poor their budget is and how they will get in so much trouble trying to manage it themselves.

He was quite right in this case tho :)
