Oh.. and because I'm feeling apathetic and fed up with work.. I've just done something fun and created a new LJ community goths_on_horses for everyone to share their horsey stories without boring the rest of their friendslist to death. I know there's a few people on my FL and beyond who may enjoy such a community!

Had my second ride today since breaking my leg last October. As I was feeling happier about riding Simon took Neo for a walk. Here's some pictures he took while we had a breather.

Finally got back horse riding today after just over 8 months off from the broken leg. PeeJay was a real arse in the stable which had me a bit nervous, but as usual once on and going he instantly calmed down. Was only out a short time with Simon walking with me. Urgh.. I've been totally knackered recently. Fortunatley a colleague at work noticed this and told me I should take a couple of days off to just rest. I'm not very good at taking time off and doing nothing but I definitley feel I need it. Been back at work full time for many weeks now and I'm still getting a lot of swelling and pain in my ankle. Took Friday off work to go to the Bath and West show. The weather was brilliant and stayed dry all day. Spent most of the day wandering around all the animals and stalls and a little bit of time watching the show jumping. Loved the heavy horses, the alpacas and the pigmy goats. Not mine, but Neo's. Alison hasn't bathed hin yet so we decided to have a try today. He was brilliant. First he wanted to play with the water in the bucket and then the sponge. Had the frame removed today. Went into day surgery but had a bit of a dodgy stomach this morning due to a takeaway last night (oops). Anaethetists gave me some drugs to settle my stomach as he couldn't risk an anaesthetic with a dodgy tummy and I was shuffled to be done slightly later ( Read more... )
